My name is Geoff Kayson and OtherWayUp is my personal creative project, designing and crafting things by hand in my home workshop, and fulfilling and enjoying some of my greatest passions. I love history, traditional crafts & design and vernacular architecture.
I was born in and began my career in Manchester as a stage carpenter, and 49 years ago, in 1977 I was a founder of Alchemy England, designing and making cast pewter jewellery and giftware, and where I still contribute as a creative director.
OWU covers a number of my different interests and is therefore divided into separate projects or brands accordingly, including at present Lychgate, traditional charms, amulets and talismans, and English Craftwork, artisan-made, traditional wood and metal fixtures and fittings, especially candlelight.
